Xibelani

Xibelani is a traditional pleated traditional gear that is worn by the Tsonga women of South Africa. The exclusive House of Khanyisa black and white range was specially hand made using up to 20 meters of special cloth called salempur, beads and Nguvu, which means head gear. Xibelani is a symbol of identity, its intricate bead work tells a story of heritage, origin and cultural pride that is expressive. The Xibelani is known for indigenous dance, the history of the dance goes back many generations in rural Mozambique where Tsonga people still wear and celebrate culture and largely in South Africa, today in the Limpopo province.
